Using the RS485 converters as an RS232 (serial port) extender
This document describes the RS485 bus as it is applied with other Radical Electronics equipment. Some of the topics covered are Bus control commands, bus arbitration, and hardware. This is an extention of the RS485 standard.
The kit contains 17 electrical parts. All of them are SMT components. The capacitors are all the same value. The most difficult part to solder is a 28 pin TSSOP case. It requires a fine tip soldering iron, solder wick and bit of patience to solder.
