The illuminated address signs are pre assembled before shipping. This information is useful for if the sign needs to be repaired or to evaluate the effort needed at the point of sale if you wish to sell the signs. The signs can be sold either assembled or as parts the end customer can put together.
For retail sale of the illuminated address signs, the minimum stock requirements are:
Each frame comes in a cardboard box with an adapter and controller board (light sensitive). This keeps the number of stocked items to 15 items minimum with options for more with different colors, controller options, and other accessories.
The sign assembly shown here is for units with the FACONTROL-01 board which requires an end digit with no connector. The FACONTROL-02 has 2 boards. One is installed before the first board is put in the frame (included with the frame), the second installs like the FACONTROL-01 board. The units sold on the web site have the FACONTROL-01 board. The resale units have the FACONTROL-02 to reduce inventory requirements.
In the example a 3 digit sign with the number 102 will be built.
The materials needed will be:
In this step the last digit of the address, FA2G-01, is slid into the frame. Before performing this step it may be useful to clean the inside of the frame of dust and fingerprints. When sliding the digit into the frame, if the digit turns, it will bind against the side. The digits slide best when they are gently and evenly pushed into place. If the digit gets really stuck then the top and bottom extrusions can be loosened to free up the board. See figure 1 and 2.

The next digit, FA0G-01 is slid into the frame. See figure 3. When the board gets close to the first board installed, make sure the connector pins on this digit line up with the holes in the connector on the first board. When the pins are lined up with the holes push the board in place. It will snap in place. See figures 4 and 5.

The first digit in the address, FA1G-01, is installed in the frame. See figure 6. The board installs using the same method as the digit in the previous step. If you have a larger or smaller number then you will have a different number of boards to install in the frame.

The last board to install in the frame is the controller board. It slides in after all of the digits have been installed in the frame. This is shown in Figure 7.

The last piece to install is the end piece. It slides over the end. Ocasionally, if there were boards that did not slide easily, the top and bottom pieces may have been pushed out of place. If this happens, they can be pushed back into place by applying pressure to the top and bottom of the frame. The final piece is shown in Figure 8.
